Our Contributors
Through the years of celebration we have been fortunate to have in our camp many talented and hard working friends that have made the Luau and then the Friends of the Luau the success that it is. We appreciate all the dedicated people that have joined in with us and will now begin showing them off in this "Contributors" page. We choose to begin with the three very talented gentlemen you see below. This page WILL get bigger!
Randy Pake
Musician
Randy has been a long time contributor to our mission beginning with his first musical appearance at the 2006 Laurel's Luau in Boise. Since that time, Randy has been involved with every event that we have hosted.
Beside from being an extreme musical talent Randy has a knack and knowledge for all things pertaining to the set up, organization, and equipment. These are the things necessary to put on the good show that he does.

Beyond his contributions to the music portion of our events, Randy has been magnanimous in the ways of giving. From guitars to woodwork, Randy has graciously given to our raffle/auction pool.

We are grateful to have Randy on our team. It is an honor to call him a "Friend" of the Luau!
Pete O'Brien
Artist
Pete is a former Idaho Vandal football teammate/roommate of Gary Richter. He was a four year starter and All-Big Sky placekicker for the Vandies. Reports have it that he left a wake of maimed defensive backs when called upon to participate in practice tackle drills! He is also a fantastic artist!

After learning of our organization, Pete joined us in a big way at the 2021 event. Taking on a roll at our event amid his already busy schedule, Pete sat at his portable easel and completed two tremendous paintings.
Pete's paintings were later auctioned off at the end of the event. The proceeds from those paintings were added to the event intake that we were able to share with worthy recipients.

We are looking forward to continuing our association with Pete and also looking forward to what he will create next.
Bruce Crawford
Philanthropist
As an initial founder of "Friends of the Luau", Bruce brought to us 42 years of expertise that came by way of his various leadership roles in the high-tech electronic industry.

Bruce's knowledge of regulations, procedures, and by-laws was hugely instrumental in the successful completion of our non-profit status as an organization. He literally blazed the trail that we are on!

Detail is certainly a forte of Bruce's, but far from the only thing that he has contributed. Friends of the Luau have leaned heavily on his generosity and we sincerely thank him for the timely gifts that he has bestowed upon our organization.

Hats off to Bruce, his wife Mary Jo, and the Crawford family. The Central Oregon community and "Friends of the Luau" are better off because of them.
